As we draw closer and closer to the September 23rd, the business world is all abuzz about the 2010 Profit Factor. Taking place Wednesday, September 23rd 2010 at the Crowne Plaza in Downtown Cleveland, the Profit Factor is the premiere event for the Ohio business community.
FREE and OPEN to the public, the Profit Factor is the largest statewide tradeshow and networking event in the State of Ohio. Each year, Black Pages Ohio partners with local MBEs, corporations, colleges, and political officials to promote business-to-business collaboration, community reinvestment, and educational enhancement.
Showcasing the best Ohio has to offer, the Profit Factor serves as a viable platform to promote Diversity, Cooperation, and Innovation, as well as proactive leadership and community development. In addition to provisions for informational resources, the Profit Factor also offers franchising and contract opportunities.
Also, the Profit Factor offers an exclusive series of workshops designed to help interested members of the general public start their own business, while providing ways for already established entrepreneurs to enhance their business. Not only that, this event provides the opportunity for individuals from all levels of business to meet, greet, and collaborate with individuals from many areas of business and State Government.
Last year, attendees benefitted from the exceptional presentation of 47th State Treasurer Kevin L. Boyce. We eagerly anticipate the participation of Governor Ted Strickland at this years’ event as well.
Despite the economic climate, the 2009 Profit Factor delivered more than $350,000,000 in Procurement Opportunities on behalf of Purchasing Specialists from Corporate, State, and Federal sectors. A number of corporations, small businesses, and community leaders were able to form proactive relationships for future endeavors. In addition, our informational workshops will provide participants with the tools they need to enact their own economic stimulus, thus enhancing community reinvestment and development.
The 2010 Profit Factor will feature a number of workshops tailored to business development and expansion. This tentative list includes: Getting Your 501c3, Social Networking, Bonding, Credit Repair, How to Do Business With Major Organizations, and more! New this year is the Support Network for Business Enterprises. Ideally, this new attraction will unite a number of entities to assist in the growth and development of Ohio’s MBEs.
We anticipate an attendance of more than 1500 participants from various Profit and Non-Profit sectors, each striving for the opportunity to contribute to business development and community empowerment. Although we are still three months away from the event, a number of prominent sponsors have already come on board for this momentous event.
Black Pages Ohio welcomes the participation of American Family Insurance, the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, the Ohio Department of Development, and the Ohio Department of Administrative Services. The NAACP, COSE, the Urban League of Greater Cleveland, and the Ohio Lottery Commission have also come aboard.
We are proud to welcome PNC, Huntington Bank, KeyBank, FirstMerit Bank, Fifth Third Bank, and US Bank from the financial sectors. In keeping with our endeavor to highlight educational enhancement, we are proud to welcome Kent State University and the University of Akron. In addition, Cook Paving & Construction, Universal Nursing Services, the Price Corp. Group, and Ebony Construction have also joined us.
We want to send a special thanks to WEWS News Channel 5, Hotcards.com, and Radio One for helping us promote this event as well.
